Cantine Garrone Munaloss Vino Rosso

$20.00
Cantine Garrone is situated in the heart of one of the most wild and inaccessible parts of Piemonte - only seven miles south of the Swiss border.

Truly a land untouched by time, the only local “industry” is agrarian, and most farms produce what they can to sustain their own families. Winegrowing here is not for the faint of heart, as many of the vines cling to mountainsides at incredibly steep inclines. The Garrones have made it their life’s purpose to preserve and elevate the wines of Val d’Ossola, focusing in particular on Prünent, the local name for Nebbiolo. In the 1990s they realized that the local farmers were struggling, and could not produce enough grapes for any viable commercial activity, so they launched an effort to preserve these family vineyards.

80% Prünent (Nebbiolo), 20% Croatina

Brambly, wild, feral, light red that's perfect for food.
