Dos Minas Malbec

The Dos Minas Malbec is 100% Malbec from 15-year-old vines in Finca Rio Seco vineyards of Cafayate, Argentina near Salta in northern Argentina.  The grapes were harvested by hand  and then fermented in stainless steel. The aging for the wine takes place partially in stainless steel and partially in neutral oak.

Planted in 1958, 1989, 1995 and 2000 - a melange of parcels the winemaker did with other winemaker friends in the area.

Somehow this is one of our best Cab Francs without being Cab Franc. Earthy, pepper, light to medium with a backbone.
