Longrow Red 21 Year Peated Single Malt Scotch (700 ml)

First distilled in 1973, Longrow is a double distilled, heavily peated single malt produced at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. The malt is peat dried for up to 48 hours to give the whisky a unique Campbeltown-style smoky character. As this whisky is not chill filtered a natural haze may form when it is cold but this will disappear when the temperature returns to normal.

A single cask bottling of Longrow Aged 21 Years exclusively bottled for US Market. 1 of 222 bottles from a fresh rum barrel. A recent addition to the Longrow range, the 21 year old is a limited annual release. The predominant sherry maturation of our most recent release complements the smoky character.

St. George Spirits 40th Anniversary Edition Single Malt Whiskey (750 ml)

The mash bill for the 40th Anniversary single malt is the same one St. George has used since they started laying down barrels in 1997: 100% two-row barley at five precise roast levels. What sets this whiskey apart from our annual Lot series releases is the special quality of the casks used to make it.

The hallmark of their single malt cooperage has always been ex-bourbon barrels, which they prize for their ability to showcase the delicate flavors we coax off the still. While they use some French oak as well, the signature of aging is the way it stays out of the way—befitting a distillery that began as an eau de vie house. That said, St. George loves what finishing can do to a whiskey, and for this 40th Anniversary release, they've amplified the fruit notes that have always been part of their whiskey with Cognac, apple brandy, and umeshu barrels. Port and sherry casks add even more fruit notes, along with depth and richness, while the California Sauternes-style casks that we began using with their 35th Anniversary release pull the diverse flavors together with a weighty, unctuous quality that delivers a long finish.
